(Sydney) Advent – Our Time to Prepare to Celebrate Jesus’ Birth

Lectio divina is a silent sacred reading in which we allow Scripture to speak to us in a deeply personal way. We invite you, this Advent, to come and immerse yourself in stories of Jesus’ birth.
Matthew and Luke shine very different lights on these dramatic events. In Matthew, it is Joseph in the spotlight, faced with difficult choices, while Mary takes centre stage in Luke’s prophetic gospel.
Do these stories still have the power to move us? Come and see for yourself as we meditate on the texts together and share our responses with one another. This is a practice that can bring unexpected nourishment.
