Reflection Morning – Teilhard de Chardin on the Gospels
May 16 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
The 2023 reflection mornings focus on Teilhard de Chardin on the Gospels by Louis M Savary.
Teilhard’s writings invite us to see Earth as our home. An unfinished divine project, brimming with opportunities for progress toward the fullness of life, open to continual improvement. Teilhard saw Jesus’ teaching as integral to a universe in continual evolution.
“Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.”
― Pierre Teilhard De Chardin
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1881-1955) was a Jesuit priest, philosopher, theologian and scientist with a Darwinian outlook. Through his unique relationship with paleontology and Catholicism he developed a highly progressive cosmic theology.
The reflection mornings are every second month on the third Tuesday.
