During his visit to Sydney in 2016, Ron Rolheiser recommended a book called "The Grace in Dying: How We Are Transformed Spiritually as We Die" by Kathleen Dowling Singh. She sees a clear correlation between the inner journey of the dying process and the spiritual journey to which she believes we are all called.
Since February this year, we have embarked on a series of reflection mornings exploring extracts from this book. Due to the popularity of these we have decided to repeat the series in a condensed format over three Fridays in October and November.
The program is as follows:
What dying teaches us about the spiritual journey
The psychospiritual stages of dying - from chaos to transcendence
The journey to ego – how we develop into adults
The path of return – dying to self
The path of transformation
We will be hosting each of these reflection mornings at the Grail Centre, 22 McHatton Street, North Sydney, on Fridays from 10 am to 12 noon. The Grail Centre is well served by public transport (bus and train) and 2-hour parking is available in McHatton Street from 9:30 am.
For more information or to register your interest, please contact Patricia Gemmell (email@example.com) or the Grail Centre on 9955 3053.
A donation to cover the cost of refreshments and the use of the facility would be greatly appreciated.
